Our Competition Program:

At Dancer’s Dreams Dance Studio, we are more than just dance steps. We are a family built on encouragement, dedication, teamwork, and the belief that every dancer has something special to offer.

Our motto, Empower. Inspire. Believe., represents everything we strive to instill in our dancers. We empower them to believe in themselves, inspire them to reach beyond what they thought possible, and encourage them to embrace their individuality while growing as dancers and as people.

We are Built Different. We believe that dance is not just about trophies, titles, or being the best in the room. It is about building confidence, developing character, overcoming challenges, and creating an environment where every dancer feels valued and supported. We celebrate individuality, encourage personal growth, and teach our dancers the importance of lifting one another up rather than competing against each other.

Our competition program offers opportunities for dancers at all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. We believe every dancer deserves the opportunity to experience the excitement of performing on stage, challenge themselves, and discover what they are capable of achieving. Every dancer's journey looks different, and we believe there should be opportunities for dancers to grow, develop, and shine regardless of where they begin.

Through dedicated training, performance opportunities, and teamwork, our dancers develop technique, musicality, artistry, confidence, and discipline. We encourage every dancer to work toward their personal best while learning the value of commitment, perseverance, and supporting their teammates.

Competition dance requires dedication, focus, consistent attendance, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. We hold our dancers to high expectations while recognizing that growth happens at different paces. Our goal is to challenge each dancer appropriately, celebrate progress, and help them reach their fullest potential both on and off the stage.

At Dancer’s Dreams, we are not simply training dancers. We are building confident individuals, strong teammates, and incredible humans.

The Audition Process

Our competition team auditions are designed to identify the best placement for each dancer based on their age, experience, technique, skill level, and readiness. We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels to provide dancers with appropriate training and opportunities for continued growth.

Auditions typically take place during the summer, with additional evaluations potentially available throughout the season as space allows.

During the audition process, instructors evaluate each dancer's technique, coordination, musicality, ability to learn choreography, performance quality, and potential for growth. Our goal is to place dancers in an environment where they feel supported while being challenged to improve.

We strive to make auditions a positive and encouraging experience for every dancer, including those who are new to competitive dance. We understand that taking this step can feel intimidating, and we want each dancer to feel proud of having the courage to try.

Team placement is determined by the instructors based on each dancer's overall evaluation and the needs of the program. Our priority is to provide appropriate opportunities for dancers to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to their teams.

Dancers Dreams Dance Studio has become a second home for our family. My oldest daughter started dancing there in 2013 when she was just in kindergarten and has been a part of their competition team since the 2016-2017 season. She has not only gained so much experience at this studio due to the amazing teachers and classes she has taken along the way, but has also made so many friends that have become part of our extended family. Because of the great experience my oldest daughter had, it was an easy decision for me to also begin taking classes at the studio as well. During the 2017-2018 season, I decided to take the adult hip hop class at the studio. Even though I hadn’t danced for over 20 years, I felt comfortable in the class right way because of how the class was taught and the pace at which we learned the dances. I went on to perform for the first time on stage at the yearly recital and have been in the class ever since. During the summer of 2019, our youngest daughter, now 3 1/2, showed interest in dance as well so we signed her up for a summer class at the studio. She enjoyed that class so much and really improved on some of her basic skills that we signed her up for the Movement class in the Fall of 2019 as well. The studio offers a very family friendly environment and pricing of classes are very reasonable. Dancers Dreams has always felt like a home for us and offers us exactly what we need.

We absolutely love being a part of Dancer's Dreams Dance Studio because it is so much more than "just a dance studio" ... it is a family!  Our daughter, Makenzie has been dancing at Dancer's Dreams since 2020. Danielle and all of her teachers and staff have always welcomed us since day 1, and here we are getting ready to start dance season 6 (technically 7 but I'm not counting 2020 due to the pandemic shutdown), and Makenzie will be starting competition season 5 in the Fall! When we first signed her up for classes, we honestly thought we were "just signing her up for some fun rec classes and socialization", when she was 4 (turning 5, later in the year), but instead, what we didn't know was, we had actually signed her up for so much more than "just dance classes"! Danielle loves all of her dancers, as if they are her own kids! The kids grow, thrive and feel loved here! The amount time and dedication that Danielle and her teachers put into every dancer in the studio, whether rec, comp team or both, is unmatched! From the littlest dancers, all the way up through the high school dancers, and even the adult dancers who take classes! In all honesty, Dancer's Dreams is a parent's dream come true also!! And you can't ask for more than that!

Melissa Kelly • Dancers Dreams Dance Studio has been so much more than a dance studio for my daughter. It has been a place where she has developed valuable life skills, including teamwork, kindness, respect, patience, perseverance, and lasting friendships.
